  • Tulliallan Primary School has been closed until further notice following a fire

Tuliallan Primary School in Kincardine has been closed until further notice after a fire and possible asbestos outbreak at the school.

The fire broke out at the school early on Monday 30th August, with Fife Fire and Rescue receiving a call at 2.41am. Five crews attended the scene along with a decontamination unit due to the possible presence of asbestos.

The fire, described by a Fire and Rescue spokesman as 'relatively small' has been extinguished, but two fire engines and the decontamination unit are still continuing to cut away the affected areas.

According to reports, no classrooms have been damaged by the fire, but there is extensive smoke damage.
