Alloa Inch is a 100 acre island on the River Forth not far from Kincardine.
This story was first compiled and narrated by my mother, Betty MacGregor in September 1999.
She was assisted by Mr Charles McLennan from Newmills, in Fife.
Charles transferred the family’s personal photographs and memoirs, to slide-form and enabled the story to be told.
Two weeks before Betty died on the 9th of December 2001, Charles helped
her to make a voice recording of her story, synchronised with the slides.
Since this time over 150 presentations of the slide show have been shown
in Central Scotland.
In summer 2011 Charles and I used this voice recording to compile the
Digital Versatile Disc of the original slide show. This was developed as a
replication quality DVD produced in November 2011 and is now available to the public.
